Your total time: about 2 hours. One 30-minute kickoff, one content share, one review. After launch, keeping the site current takes less time than writing an email.
Free mockup (before you commit). Send your lab name and one paper. We send back a homepage mockup with a summary of your research.
Week 1: 30-minute kickoff. Pages, tone, and your university's hosting rules. You share a few key papers and photos, and we set up a shared Google Drive folder in your account.
Week 2: We write and build. Research copy, figures, team and publication pages. You drop in your CV, member photos and any logos; we do the writing and prepare the figures.
Week 3: You review. One round of edits on a private draft. You send one set of comments, and we make the changes.
Week 4: Launch. Published and linked from your department profile, followed by a 20-minute handoff.
Your lab gets a shared Google Drive folder. When a paper comes out or someone new joins, drop in the PDF or photo.
A two-minute update form covers papers, new members, people leaving, news and fixes.
New items are added to your site for you, with no maintenance headaches. Updates go out monthly, or within five business days if you give a needed-by date. Anything still in an inbox folder isn’t on the site yet, so you always know where things stand.
The site and the Drive folder live in your university Google account, not ours. You own it outright and can move it to your university's platform as needed. If you ever stop working with Fig1 Studio, you keep everything.
